Steven P. Gitberg, CPA
Steve is a Certified Public Accountant with over 35 years of experience working with individuals, small businesses and Not for Profit entities throughout Hartford County. Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley College, Waltham, MA. He started his career in small CPA firms before he joined Mugford & Co., LLC as a partner in 1997.
Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). Steve resides in Windsor, CT with his wife, Jen.
Brian C. DiBella, CPA, CSPM
Brian has over 22 years of experience counseling individuals and businesses. Brian’s background includes strategic business planning and consulting, family succession planning and mergers and acquisitions. He also prepares business and financial projections and bank financing plans for expanding and start-up companies. In addition he also has extensive experience in accounting, income taxes and financial statement preparation for both individuals and businesses small and large.
Mr. DiBella earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1989. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Connecticut Society of CPAs. In January, 2007 Mr. DiBella received Certification in Strategic Performance Management from the Center for Strategic Performance Management.
He is currently a member of the Hartford Rotary Club and is also it's Treasurer. He is also active on the Finance Committee of the YMCA of Northern Middlesex County. His hobbies include hiking and golf.
Tina L. Barone, Bookkeeper
Tina joined the firm in February 2016, as a Bookkeeper. She brings to the firm more than 5 years of experience working in an accounting firm as an Administrative Assistant, Tax Processer and then advancing to the Bookkeeper and is a Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online. Tina is accurate and organized with excellent analytical and reporting skills. She has a track record of adapting quickly and effectively to new technologies and applications. She is responsible for maintaining the full set of our client's company accounts, preparing tax payments and processing payroll. She is an independent worker who responds well to challenges and loves assisting our client's in various fields of business. Tina is also a Notary Public for the State of Connecticut.
Ann-Louise Babcock, Office Manager
Ann-Louise has been a crucial fixture to the firm for over 10 years as the Office Manager wearing many hats in the firm including managing staff, training new staff and assisting clients with payroll and sales tax filings, day to day office operations, implementing new systems and equipment procurement and making sure the office runs smoothly and efficiently. Ann- Louise most often is the friendly voice you hear on the phone as well as a friendly face who greets you when you come into our office.
Ann-Louise is a native of New Britain, CT and enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
Ernest A. Torres, CPA
Ernie has over 30 years of experience as a CPA helping individuals, small to medium sized businesses and not-for-profit entities. His public accounting background includes extensive tax experience, auditing, financial statement preparation and management advisory services. In addition, he also worked in the private sector managing the accounting function for a media company. Ernie graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.
Ernie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). He resides in Wallingford with his wife, Diane.
